Do you find yourself looking directly at the bright LEDs of your AI Hydra 32 HD when seated near your aquarium? This four-sided light shade helps reduce direct glare and sideways light spill, making it more comfortable to enjoy your reef.

Designed specifically for the AI Hydra 32 HD, the shade combines gently flared sides with rounded corners and a matte black finish. Four integrated clips hold it in place between the cooling fins, without screws, magnets or permanent modifications to your light.

Designed for comfortable viewing

The shade extends below the fixture to help shield direct views of the LEDs from around the aquarium. Its sides flare out towards the bottom, creating a wider lower opening.

The amount of light spill blocked depends on the mounting height, the position of the fixture and your viewing angle. This is a light shade, not a diffuser: it does not contain a panel for blending the LED colours.

Installation and compatibility

Suitable for the AI Hydra 32 HD. Position the rear cut-out around the power cable and align the clips with the corresponding spaces between the cooling fins. Carefully clip the shade into place and check that all four clips are engaged before letting go.

The clips attach directly to the light fixture; a separate mounting arm is not required for the shade itself. Leave enough room around the fixture to fit and remove the shade.

Dimensions and care

External dimensions: 230 × 178 × 96 mm (L × W × H). These are the overall dimensions of the shade, including the clips, not the distance it extends below the light.

Remove dust and salt deposits with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning products and keep the fan and cooling fins clear.
