Keep nori in place while your fish graze

Loose sheets of nori can drift through your aquarium before your fish have finished eating. This magnetic nori feeder keeps the seaweed contained in an open feeding cage, where tangs and other grazing fish can pick at it from all sides.

The magnetic holder attaches through the aquarium glass, so you can choose a feeding position without a clamp over the rim. The compact curved mount holds the cage away from the glass, with a separate magnet holder on the outside.

Filling and positioning

Roll the nori loosely and place it inside the outer cage. Fit the cap with its integrated inner cylinder and screw it closed. The cylinder holds the seaweed near the cage openings.

Submerge the feeder and gently tilt the curved holder to release trapped air. Hold the feeder against the inside of the glass and carefully bring the outside magnet holder into position. Check that the feeder sits securely before letting go.

Remove leftover nori after feeding and rinse the cage before refilling.

Glass thickness

This magnet combination has been tested on 19 mm aquarium glass in our own reef aquarium. Holding strength depends on the glass thickness and the distance between the magnets. Check the grip on your aquarium before use.
